I think a lot about the concept of agency and what needs to be done in a larger context to remind people that whereas the world will always have problems, you will always have the ability to make it better in your own way. This is true even existentially.
As a baby boomer who now finds himself hoping that none of his grandchildren go to university, and finding that an extraordinary thing to be hoping for, I have to ask, how did we let the lies slip by our vigilance? How did we let the liars worm into so many positions of influence. Along the way, we must have left some hollow, some void in the wall, through which all this prideful despair could seep. But where, exactly, and when? And where is the generation that will find the hole and close it?
